The EXO system is a modular system that allows you to customize how it's set up. With this particular configuration, we have the gear locker and the SkinnyWarrior with the top shelf attachment, but you can configure it with a lot of different accessories. And what that means for you with your Explorer, it's gonna allow you to increase your cargo area to get those bigger, bulkier things out for your adventure. As you can see, this is a pretty massive setup, but the benefit of that, it gives you a lot of flexibility. So with your SkinnyWarrior basket at the bottom, it also is an attachment that allow you to use it as a cart, and it's gonna give you 110 pounds of capacity to stow away. more

I'll just go over some of the features of it, show you guys it interacts with your Explorer.Now to start, one of the really cool features about this cargo carrier, you don't really see it too often with cargo carriers, is that we can tilt it away to gain better access to our trunk. So before I do that, want to show you guys why that feature's important. First off, we'll show you what your break over point is, meaning how far you can open up your hatch until it makes contact with the cargo you have stacked when it's just up in the upright position.Now you'll see when I open up the trunk, we'll bring it up here. Today we have a 2019 Ford Explorer and we're going to be showing you how the Rola Cargo Carrier is going to interact with it.With this cargo carrier, you're going to be able to get some of that cargo out of your vehicle or extra cargo onto the cargo carrier making your trip a little bit more enjoyable because you're not going to have to leave anything behind. This cargo carrier is going to have a 600 pound weight capacity, but you do want to check with your vehicle's owner's manual and the manual of your hitch to make sure your hitch can hold that much.Now a couple of dimensions for you guys so you know what you're getting into. The total length that you've added to the rear of your Explorer is going to be about 32 inches to the furthest most point there. Because you can't tilt this up to your vehicle, you are going to always have that length as long as it's inserted. The closest point, is going to be about eight inches away from your vehicle, which is far enough away to where it's not going to come up and hit your vehicle and you're still going to be able to slide in and get anything from the inside. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ford Explorer, we're going to be doing a test fit on the roll in, swinging, and closed cargo carrier for closed hitches. Part #59109.I've already got the roll in closed cargo carrier installed on my Explorer, as you can see. The first thing that I'd like to point out, is that it does not extend past beyond the width of our Explorer. Also, even though our carrier has included tail lights, we also have full visibility or our Explorer's tail lights.Another thing you'll enjoy, is that it doesn't block our rear view window. It is, however, going to block your backup camera. One of my favorite features is, it has the ability to swing out, so we can gain access to our rear hatch. more

Right now, we have it in the loaded position, meaning your wheelchair would already be in this carrier, and you have several points along the carrier to actually tie it down with your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. Let's go ahead and show you how to fold out the ramp. To do that, we'll one at a time pull these pins out here along the side, lift those up, and we'll reinsert the pin top here. There we go. This has a carrying capacity of 300 pounds, has this mesh floor at the bottom, which makes it easy to clean, and all the way around the cargo carrier, we have these points here, which you can use as tie downs for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. Whatever it is you use to tie down your gear. Let's go ahead and give you a couple of quick measurements. Measuring from the edge of the bumper to our outer edge, we've added about 26 inches to this point here. Our closest point to the bumper is going to be about six and a quarter to this edge. We do have dual exhaust, which is about 11 inches from the cargo carrier. more

As you can see it's a sizable carrier, we have plenty of mounting holes surrounding it, and we also have a mesh flooring and mesh ramp so it's going to be very easy to clean. Dirt and debris is just going to fall right through. We also have two reflectors here at the back to keep it more visible at night. It's dimensions or 50 inches long by 30 inches wide. more

I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now, the first being the distance added to the vehicle once the cargo carrier is installed. I'm going to go ahead and measure from the bumper. To this edge here, that's 26-1/2 inches. Our ground clearance will be about 12 inches. Our closest point to this edge will be about 4-1/4 inches. more

Today in this 2016 Ford Explorer we are going to be test fitting the 23 by 60 Stormberg Carlson cargo carrier, part number CC/100. This cargo carrier has a carrying capacity of 500 pounds, has a mesh floor here which makes it easy to clean. All around the border of the cargo carrier we have these tie-down points for your ratchet straps or your bungee cordes. At the front here we have points we're you can actually mount a taillight if you wanted to or if you we're going to be blocking off your license plate there is this spot here to reattach it at the actual cargo carrier itself. Next I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements, the first being how much distance is added to the vehicle once the cargo carrier is actually installed. To this edge here it's about 26,5 inches, for a ground clearance it's going to be about 10,5 inches and for our closest point to that edge here it's about 3 and 1/4 inches. This does have duel exhaust, meaning one on either side, it's pretty close to the cargo carrier, it's about 7,5 inches so just keep that in mind with any heat sensitive material, you may want to keep it more towards the center. more

It has this nice mesh floor here, which makes it easy to clean, and around the border of the cargo carrier, we have this rail, which could actually serve as a tie-down point for your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. Now, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements, the first being how much distance is added to the vehicle with the cargo carrier installed. I'll go to this rail here at the rear, and that's going to be 32 3/4 inches. Our ground clearance to this point here is going to be about 12 inches, and our closest point, which would be this rail will be about 12 inches as well. Now, this does have dual exhaust, meaning one on either side, however the cargo carrier is far enough away from it, that I don't think you'll have to worry too much about any heat sensitive materials in your cargo carrier. more

Today on our 2013 Ford Explorer, we're doing a test fit of the Carpod 23x47 walled cargo carrier, part number M2205. It's designed to work with two inch hitches and has a weight capacity of 450 pounds. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance is first, we have about 20 1/2 inches. Overall to the vehicle we're adding about 34 inches. Our closest point is going to be on this raised shank here, at about 5 1/2 inches away. With our Explorer we do have a dual exhaust, comes out of the passenger and driver side. Although it's lower than the carrier, it still comes out about 15 1/2 inches, so you may want to be careful carrying any heat sensitive materials on your carrier. more

First thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance here is going to be about 13 inches. Overall to the Explorer we're adding about 29 and a half inches, and our closes point is going to be about 5 and three-quarter inches away. more

Now we already have this on our vehicle, we're first going to take a few measurements. Our first one's going to be our ground clearance. It's actually right up under the back of our carrier and we're at about a 13 and 3/4 inches. more

Part number on it is CC-100. You can see we've got the nice large open holes here on our floor. This is going to give us plenty of room for any of the water and dirt debris to fall right down and out. It's kind of an expanded steel. It's got a nice raised edge, it's going to go all the way around the outside. more

The big deal about this carrier, full aluminum construction with the exception of that shank, nice and light weight. If weight is an issue for you, this would be an excellent choice for a carrier, easy to get it on, easy to get it off of the car. Let's go ahead and get fitted onto the vehicle that we have here today. First thing you're going to want to do is insert your shank into your receiver, then line up your pinholes. Once you have your pinholes lined up, insert your anti-rattle bolt and thread it in as far as you can by hand. more

Today our our 2007 Ford Explorer we'll be test fitting the Pro Series 31x47 Solo steel cage cargo carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 400 pound weight capacity, part #PS1040100. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up the pin holes and install our pin and clip. Now we'll go over some clearance measurements. We have about 21 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Explorer is about 10 1/2 inches. We've added about 42 3/4 inches to the overall length of our Ford Explorer. more

Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. Well thread in the anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. With the carrier secured, well go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 18-1/2 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about 3-1/2 inches away, and weve added about 15-1/2 inches to the overall length of our Explorer. We can now lift up on the red handle and tilt the carrier down. With the carrier down, we have about 23-1/2 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about 3-1/2 inches, and weve added about 40 inches to the overall length of our Explorer. more
